Top 5 Sailing Excursions

Introduction

If you’re looking for a unique way to explore the islands of Thailand and Indonesia, then a tall ship tour is just what you need. These vessels are more than just beautiful; they’re also fun and exciting. The best part is that they allow you to really get up close and personal with these beautiful places while still providing all of the comforts of home (and then some!). Here are five of our favorite tall ship sailing expeditions around Southeast Asia:

Star Clipper’s Phuket to Singapore tall ship sailing.

If you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway, the Star Clipper’s Phuket to Singapore tall ship sailing is an excellent choice. This 7-day trip includes stops at Thailand and Malaysia, where you can see some of the most beautiful tropical scenery in Asia. It’s also a great way to relax and enjoy your time away from home by doing things like going on land excursions and taking part in many activities aboard ship. If you’re ready for a vacation that combines learning about other cultures while enjoying some time at sea, then this may be exactly what you need!

Star Clipper’s Singapore to Phuket tall ship sailing.

The Star Clipper’s Singapore to Phuket tall ship sailing is a 10-day trip aboard the world’s largest full-rigged sailing ships. The ship sails from Singapore to Thailand’s Phuket, stopping along the way in Indonesia and Malaysia. While the exact itinerary varies, it generally includes stops at Langkawi Island, Penang Island and Kuching city in Malaysia; as well as Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan cities in Sabah state; and Kuantan city on east coast of Malaysia.

This is part of a longer 15-day itinerary that includes several days spent cruising around Phuket island before ending at Langkawi Island for an overnight stay. The sailing has a crew of 60 people—including 26 professional sailors from 11 different countries—and can carry up to 80 passengers at once (but usually holds less). It accommodates 12 cabins with four types: Standard Cabins come with beds made up into twins or doubles depending on occupancy levels (they can also be converted into suites by adding extra beds); Captain’s Cottage cabins offer more privacy with ensuite bathrooms (either en suite shower or bathtub/shower combo); Deluxe Cabins have large windows overlooking the sea; Suites have private balconies overlooking both sides of ship while also featuring two bathrooms inside each room

G Adventures’ Southern Thailand Islands 7 Day tour.

This 7-day tour includes visits to Phuket, Koh Lanta and the Similan Islands, with snorkeling, kayaking and other activities. It also includes a visit to the Samui Elephant Park which is located on the west coast of Thailand.

The tour will take passengers from Bangkok through Chumphon Island where they will board their boat for an overnight sail to Koh Kradan island where you’ll spend two nights before heading off on another overnight trip towards Phuket Island for two nights. You’ll then travel by bus back up north again stopping en route at several scenic spots along Highway 4 until arriving in Ao Nang Beach where your ship awaits you (it’s easy to get here by taxi or songthaew).

Once aboard The Blue Lady I sailed out into Phuket’s beautiful turquoise waters with my fellow travelers: 12 partcipants plus our crew members who were more than happy to help us learn how things worked on board such as pumping water out of our bilge tank! We also took turns learning how operate various navigation tools used while underway such as an autopilot system that steers us safely around hazards like rocks sticking out from land masses which would otherwise cause damage when hit at high speeds (no joke…there are many instances where this has happened!). The view from above deck was breathtaking too!

G Adventures’ Southern Thailand Islands 10 Day tour.

This 10-day sailing trip is the perfect option for travelers who want a short break from their busy lives. With stops at three islands and plenty of time to explore each one, you’ll get to experience Thailand in a way that won’t leave you feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The tour begins with an overnight stay on Ko Samui, followed by visits to Ko Pha Ngan and Koh Tao before ending your journey back on Ko Samui again. All meals are included during your stay in each port of call. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the beach bars and restaurants as well!

The best part about this particular trip? It’s the only one that includes an overnight cruise ship stopover along with two nights on land at each island destination—and each day includes one full day at sea!

Star Clipper’s Bali to Lombok and Komodo Island sailing.

You’re probably thinking, “Where IS Komodo Island?”

Komodo is one of the best-known islands in Indonesia, but it’s still off the radar for many people. Komodo really stands out because it has a number of unique features:

  • A World Heritage Site that includes both land and marine ecosystems;
  • A large population of dragons (aka monitor lizards) that are just as fearsome as they sound; and
  • A guide who will personally escort you to see these famous beasts.

There are many ways to explore islands in Thailand and Indonesia by tall ship, but these are the best, most fun, and most interesting trips that you can find anywhere
